Nationwide — The BOSS Network, in partnership with Sage, has announced that Kaylenne Brown, founder of Plant-Based Eatz LLC, has been named the winner of the Pathways to Success Pitch Competition, earning the program’s $25,000 grand prize following a live pitch event in Atlanta.
The Pathways to Success Program is a business accelerator designed to support and scale women-owned businesses by providing training, mentorship, and strategic guidance. Through the program, 50 women entrepreneurs participated in an intensive experience that included expert-led workshops, business strategy development, and mentorship designed to help founders strengthen their operations and position their companies for growth.
From that group, 10 entrepreneurs were selected as finalists to compete in the program’s culminating pitch competition, where they presented their businesses to a panel of judges for the opportunity to secure funding and expand their ventures.
Brown’s company, Plant-Based Eatz LLC, stood out for its strong market opportunity, clear business strategy, and commitment to delivering healthy plant-based food options to communities.
“This experience challenged me to refine my vision, strengthen my business strategy, and connect with a community of women who are serious about building impactful businesses,” Brown said.
The entrepreneurs were coached throughout the program by experienced business leaders, including Lead Trainer Dorinda Walker, who worked closely with participants as they prepared for the competition.
“Black women entrepreneurs are building businesses that drive innovation and economic growth, yet they continue to face significant funding gaps,” said Dorinda Walker, lead trainer for the program. “Coaching this talented group of founders as they refined their vision and strategy has been inspiring. When companies like Sage invest in programs like this, they’re not just supporting entrepreneurs — they’re investing in the future of the economy.”
