Nationwide — Celebrity blogger Tasha K, who has been in a long-running legal battle with Cardi B, has launched a GoFundMe page to help pay off her $3.5 million judgment. She’s asking fans for support while continuing her own monthly payments to meet the court-ordered debt.
The defamation case began in 2019 when Cardi B sued Tasha K for defamation, claiming the blogger spread false claims about her health and personal life. The court ruled in Cardi B’s favor in 2022, awarding $3.9 million in damages, leaving Tasha K with a large unpaid balance.
Tasha K announced the GoFundMe on Twitter, saying she still owes most of the judgment. It has so far raised nearly $8,400 of the $3.5 million goal. According to Rolling Out, she’s also set up other donation channels, including CashApp, Venmo, and PayPal. Alongside this, Tasha K plans to launch a Kickstarter selling merchandise like wine glasses during her birthday week, starting March 10.
Within the first day, the fundraising brought in about $10,000 across all platforms, a small start, but a step toward reducing the debt. Tasha K says she’ll continue contributing $20,000 from her own funds each month, aiming to pay at least $200,000 this year while relying on crowdfunding to cover the rest.
Cardi B argued the posts damaged her reputation, and the court’s ruling highlighted how social media commentary can have serious legal consequences.
