Founder of Black-Owned Financial Services Firm Expands Beyond Credit Repair to Offer Loans, Tax Preparation Services

Milwaukee, WI — Charcora Palmer, founder and owner of Total P.O.W.E.R. Financial Services, is expanding her services beyond credit repair to become a one-stop-shop, offering loans from $10,000 to $400,000 and tax preparation to individuals and businesses. At a time when so many people in this country are trying to survive the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, including the loss of their jobs or being forced to shutter their businesses, Palmer developed her company to empower communities through financial education. POWER stands for Positioning Our Wealth for Economic Redevelopment and with that as a forefront, lives can be forever changed. Total P.O.W.E.R. provides a credit improvement program, tax preparation and consulting, as well as business loans.

“My company is now expanding to lead people to the funds to achieve their dreams, whether it be loans or the opportunities to become business owners through our tax franchise, credit repair, or loan broker programs,” said Palmer, an award-winning entrepreneur who started her business 13 years ago. She is a certified credit and tax professional who has an undergraduate and master’s degrees in business administration.

With more than 68 million people with a low credit score, Palmer had her own experience with having credit problems in the past. But she got help and now is having tremendous success with her business. “Now, more than ever is an ideal time to consider credit repair,” Palmer said. “Look, it’s hurting you to do nothing or completely ignore the issue as if it’s just going to disappear. If anything, it’s like to get worse.”

Palmer helps people review their credit reports and assists them in removing accounts or loans that are dragging down their scores. She works directly with the credit bureaus to remove erroneous, inaccurate, outdated, and unverified data. Over the years, as she has worked with hundreds of clients, she realized many of them wanted to improve their scores so they could buy a home. That’s when Palmer realized that she should expand her business to providing loans to individuals or business owners.

As Palmer sees it, Total P.O.W.E.R. is creating opportunities for people to realize they can do more than just do the 9-to-5. Said Palmer, “My business is helping individuals and businesses, but we’re also offering franchise opportunities, too.”
