Black Female Entrepreneur Launches Independent Streaming Platform, Expands TV Franchise Across Africa, and Signs Content Partnerships with African Filmmakers

Creator of the Preachers’ Exes Franchise Announces Expansion into Nigeria, Uganda, and South Africa Through Wild Horse TV

Nationwide — Entrepreneur, producer, author, and media executive Cheron K. Griffin has officially launched Wild Horse TV, an independent streaming platform created to empower content creators through greater ownership, global distribution opportunities, and direct audience engagement.

The announcement comes as Griffin expands her groundbreaking Preachers’ Exes franchise into Nigeria, Uganda, and South Africa while securing content partnerships with filmmakers in Nigeria and Uganda as part of a larger mission to bridge African and Diaspora storytelling through independent media. What began as a controversial concept in 2013 has evolved into an international franchise, a growing media company, and a movement centered on ownership, representation, and authentic storytelling.

After spending 13 years developing the Preachers’ Exes franchise, Griffin launched Wild Horse TV to create opportunities for creators who often struggle to maintain ownership and control of their content through traditional distribution channels.

“For too long, creators have been told they must sacrifice ownership in exchange for opportunity,” said Griffin. “Wild Horse TV was built to challenge that model. We are creating a platform where creators can maintain greater ownership of their work, reach global audiences, and build sustainable revenue while telling stories that matter.”
The launch coincides with the premiere of Preachers’ Exes of Houston, the first season of the franchise to debut on her network.

The six-episode docu-reality series follows women whose lives have been shaped by relationships with pastors and church leaders while exploring themes of faith, healing, resilience, identity, spiritual abuse, and personal transformation.

Episode One is currently available free to viewers worldwide. Fans can also subscribe to watch the complete six-episode season for just $4.99 on Wild Horse TV.

Preachers’ Exes was never simply about relationships,” Griffin explained. “At its core, it’s about healing, reclaiming your voice, and finding the courage to rewrite your story. Expanding the franchise into Africa allows us to continue these conversations on a global scale while creating opportunities for collaboration among creators throughout the Diaspora.”

Beyond the expansion of the franchise, Wild Horse TV is actively acquiring and distributing content from filmmakers throughout Africa and the global Diaspora. The platform offers a growing collection of films, television series, documentaries, and original programming designed to connect cultures through storytelling. The company is also preparing for the launch of the official Wild Horse TV mobile application, which will make the platform’s content even more accessible to audiences worldwide.

As Wild Horse TV continues to expand its footprint, Griffin believes the future of entertainment belongs to creators willing to build their own ecosystems rather than wait for traditional gatekeepers to open doors.

“Our goal is bigger than a streaming platform,” Griffin said. “We’re building a global home for storytellers. Whether they’re in Houston, Lagos, Kampala, Johannesburg, London, or Atlanta, we want creators to know there is a place where their stories matter.”
