The second-grader was playing on the playground when the incident occurred at Libertas School of Memphis on Monday.Staff members immediately provided aid before paramedics transported her to a local hospital. Despite medical efforts, Chloe could not be saved, according to WLBT.
The exact cause of her death remains unknown, though school officials believe it may have been due to an internal medical condition.
Chloe’s mother described her daughter as a “ray of sunshine everywhere she went.” She said she loved helping others and dreamed of becoming a nurse. A GoFundMe page has been set up to help with funeral expenses, which has so far raised over $10,000.
