Los Angeles, CA — R&B singers Chris Brown and Trey Songz are planning to celebrate their 10-year anniversary with an upcoming 25-city tour. The two say its been nearly a whole decade since they first performed together during a 2005 college tour, and they announced their tour plans recently at the House of Blues in Los Angeles after the two performed their latest hit songs. Tickets will go on sale on November 17th.Regarding the tour, Brown commented, “We always had a bond regardless as friends and as brothers. We trust each other.” Songz added, “It took awhile for something like this to happen because you do grow a friendship over years and I’m excited about it, more excited about it than any (other) tour.”
The tour, which kicks off January 28, 2015 in Hampton, Virginia with special guest Tyga, is controversially named the “Between the Sheets” tour, which many critics say is inappropriate for the two artists’ millions of pre-teen and teen fans. But the two have heard this criticism before as both have many sexually-explicity songs that are constantly being aired on public radio.
Brown has also seen his share of criticism regarding a domestic violence incident with him and former girlfriend Rihanna back in 2009. He’s also being criticized for being a part of Nicki Minaj and Lil Wayne’s new single “Only”, which reportedly uses Nazi imagery in the music video.
Regarding the video, Brown, commented, “I haven’t had a chance to see the whole video. I know I shot my part maybe a couple weeks ago, so I’m waiting to see the final edit of the actual video.”
