Donald Trump Confirms He is Bringing President Obama’s Half-Brother to the Next Presidential Debate

Nationwide — Republican Presidential Nominee Donald Trump’s campaign has confirmed that President Barack Obama’s 58-year old half-brother, Malik Obama, will be in attendance at the third presential debate to show his support for Donald Trump.Malik, who was born in Kenyan but is also a U.S. citizen, announced back in July that he would vote for the Republican nominee. He told the New York Post that he is “excited” to attend the debate in Las Vegas and believes Trump “can make America great again.”

Malik says that he and Barack were once very close and shared a close bond – and even serving as best men in each other’s weddings. But now he has expressed resentment that the President has not helped him with his foundation to support their family’s village in Kogelo, Kenya. He also says that his most recent visit with the President at the White House in 2015 was a “hands-off kind of thing, very businesslike, very formal.”

In 2013, he ran for governor in his home county of Siaya in Kenya, but lost by a landslide and criticized his brother for not endorsing him.

Regarding Trump’s recent accusations of sexual misconduct, Malik says, “Why didn’t they come forward before?” He also is very critical of Hillary Clinton’s work as Secretary of State. Regarding her work in the country of Libya, he comments, “Check out the situation in Libya now.”

Another of Trump’s guest at the upcoming presidential debate will be Patricia Smith, the mother of a victim of the 2012 Benghazi, Libya, attack. She has told the media that she blames Hillary Clinton personally for the death of her son.

After hearing about Malik’s support for him, Trump tweeted: “Wow, President Obama’s brother, Malik, just announced that he is voting for me. Was probably treated badly by president-like everybody else!”

Trump later told the New York Post that Malik “gets it far better than his brother.”
