Nationwide — Dr. Laura Borland, DSW, known as the “Dadvocate,” is excited to announce the launch of Dad-Ease, LLC, a Black-owned organization dedicated to addressing the pressing issue of the “Invisible Parent.” This concept highlights the societal tendency to overlook fathers in their parenting roles, often relegating them to a secondary status when it comes to caregiving and family involvement.
“Every day, countless dads step into their parenting roles with love and dedication, yet they often remain unseen and unrecognized,” said Dr. Borland. “At Dad-Ease, we aim to bring visibility to fathers’ vital roles and advocate for the recognition they deserve.”
Dad-Ease provides an ecosystem of solutions for employers, agencies, community leaders and fatherhood supporters with resources, consulting, educational materials, and public awareness through events and campaigns focused on empowering and recognizing dads as they engage fully in their children’s lives. By shifting the narrative from mothers as the sole caregivers to recognizing both parents as equally important, Dad-Ease seeks to foster healthier family relationships and positively impact children’s development.
As part of its mission, Dad-Ease will launch initiatives aimed at raising awareness about the Invisible Parent syndrome, providing workshops, keynotes, and facilitating discussion forums that highlight the importance of equal parenting partnerships.
