Black Mom of 3 Shot and Killed While Making DoorDash Delivery to a School

Nationwide — Eboni Anderson, an African American mother from Atlanta, Georgia, was fatally shot while making a DoorDash delivery outside Palmetto Elementary School. She leaves behind three young children.

Anderson, 34, was reportedly on a food delivery when the shooting happened on Tuesday. DoorDash confirmed she was active on the platform at the time and expressed condolences to her family, saying their team is cooperating with police.

Police identified the suspect as Christopher Loris Ates. He was arrested after a vehicle chase that ended in Twiggs County. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting, as reported by KBTX.

Her stepfather, Tariq Robinson, described Anderson as a loving daughter and mother. “She was a great mother. She loved her boys. She did everything she could for them,” he said, referring to her 8-year-old twin sons and her 18-month-old son.

Anderson’s family has started a GoFundMe to help cover funeral expenses. It has so far raised nearly $18,000. Arrangements for her memorial are still being planned, and loved ones continue to mourn her sudden death.
