Nationwide — Effie Wynn, a 73-year-old African American school bus driver from Lynchburg, Virginia, was arrested after allegedly strangling a student on the bus while parked at a school. Police say she faces strangulation and child neglect charges.
Lynchburg police responded to Linkhorne Elementary School on March 30 after reports of a “disorderly individual.” When officers arrived, they began investigating an incident reported inside a school bus parked on school property.
