Nationwide — The Black AI Consortium has been launched to encourage dialogue and collaboration among members from diverse backgrounds within the African diaspora. Efforts include curating relevant content, hosting educational events, and facilitating mentorship opportunities to address the specific needs of the community while advancing the understanding and application of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies.
The mission of The Black AI Consortium is to cultivate a vibrant and supportive community where individuals of the African diaspora can share experiences, knowledge, and resources related to artificial intelligence. The aim is to facilitate meaningful discussions, collaborations, and learning opportunities that address and resolve specific economic, social, and educational challenges within the community. Through advocacy, education, and networking, the Consortium seeks to democratize AI technology to ensure it is a tool for empowerment and progress within the diaspora.

About Dr. Jimmy J. Davies:
Dr. Davies received his Honorary Doctorate Degree from the National Beauty Culturists’ League, Inc., his B.S. in Applied Mathematics with a minor in Physics and a minor in Land Surveying/Topographical Drafting all from Ferris State University, Big Rapids, Michigan. He founded MacMasters Computer Services, a computer training and database development company, conducting computer training workshops in more than 40 cities in a dozen states and has trained over 10,000 individuals on a wide variety of computer software. He founded Every.Black, LLC in 2018. The mission of Every.Black is to educate and inspire people to create wealth through entrepreneurship by leveraging technology (www.ComputerClasses.Black) and implementing a strategy of global marketing and networking.
About Dr. Dannielle Joy Davis:
Dr. Davis received her Ph.D., Educational Policy Studies (EPS) from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) in the Area of Emphasis: Education Policy Analysis and is a tenured Full Professor of Higher Education at Saint Louis University. She has studied and conducted research in South Africa, Senegal, Egypt, Togo, Germany, the Netherlands, Sweden, Belgium, Cuba, and Ghana. Her interdisciplinary research examines the experiences of marginalized groups, the role of organizational policy and practice in the promotion or inhibition of egalitarian academic and occupational outcomes, and spirituality in the workplace and other learning environments.
Dr. Davis is a twice-elected Chair of the American Educational Research Association’s (AERA’s) Spirituality and Education Special Interest Group (SIG) and has served as part of the leadership team for AERA’s Qualitative Research SIG. She is a member of the national Black Lives Matter in Research Working Group and has published over 70 refereed journal articles, book chapters, volumes, academic commentaries, and reviews. She is Editor or Co-Editor and a contributing author of the books: Black Women in Leadership: Their Historical and Contemporary Contributions (Peter Lang Publishing), Social Justice Issues and Race in the College Classroom: Learning from Different Voices (Emerald Group Publishing Ltd.), Intersectionality in Education Research (Stylus Publishing). Teaching and Research Interests include Home Education; STEM Education; Black Education; Higher Education Access, Retention, and Outcomes; Religion and Spirituality in Higher Education; and Qualitative Research.
About Rev. Dr. Philippe SHOCK Matthews:
Rev. Dr. Philippe SHOCK Matthews is a Research Scientist in Africana Phenomenology residing in Sacramento, California. He is known for his work in the Digital Divide, Black Trauma and Mental Health space as a GPT developer and Prompt Engineer.
He is a trauma-informed Metaphysical Minister, specializing in the diaspora, emphasizing the philosophy that “Nothing is wrong with Black People; Something Happened to Black People!”
He earned his Doctorate in Metaphysical Science and Philosophy from the University of Metaphysics, Sedona. He is the Founding Minister of 1st Frequency of Oneness, Science, Manifestation, and Prosperity at ShockMetaphysics.com.
