She founded the company in 2018 after being frustrated that women of color weren’t adequately represented in the book industry. “I want women and the young girls that look up to them to feel empowered. I want them to know that they are included, celebrated and represented, because representation matters,” she said in a statement.
The set comes in 12 assorted colors which have inspirational sayings like “Self Care” and “Good Vibes” as the color names.
