Nationwide — Gladior Kwesiah, a 26-year-old man from Rhode Island, is facing serious charges after allegedly assaulting a woman in a violent road rage incident in Massachusetts. The attack left Hailea Soares, a mother of two, with multiple fractures after being slammed to the ground.
“By the time I realized I was in the air… I thought to myself, ‘I might die right now,'” Soares said. “It was a weird sensation I felt on my face. I realized I was on the ground and rolled over. There was blood dripping all over my hands.”
Police arrived at the scene to find Soares crying and injured on the road. She was quickly taken to the hospital for treatment. The impact left her with a fractured skull, broken eye socket, and injuries to her knee and foot.
Kwesiah was arrested and now faces charges, including assault with a dangerous weapon, property damage, and driving without a valid license. His bail was set at $2,500 and the judge ordered him to avoid any contact with Soares.
“I don’t know if he was having a bad day. I don’t know what that was, but if that’s the type of person he is, I don’t think he belongs in society with the rest of us,” Soares said.
As she recovers at home, Soares says her biggest relief is being able to see her two children, ages 1 and 8. She’s asking the community for prayers and hopes people will treat each other with more compassion.
“Nothing else really matters in life except the people you love that are close to you,” she said.
