11-Year-Old and 9-Year-Old Black Siblings Are Waiting to Be Adopted Together

Have'Ana and Layla

Nationwide — Meet 11-year-old Have’Ana and 9-year-old Layla, two African American sisters from North Texas, who are searching for a forever family to adopt them together. These sisters share a close bond and hope to stay together in a loving home.

Have’Ana, the older sister, is known for her sweet voice and nature. She aims to be responsible and helps out her little sister, Layla.

“I don’t like getting in trouble. It’s the worst thing possible to get in trouble because then you lose something you enjoy very much, and I won’t have it for a week or two, so I just be responsible and help Layla out,” Have’Ana told WFAA.

Layla, full of energy and affection for her big sister, looks up to Have’Ana like a second mom.

“She’s like a mom. She helps me, and she helps me when I need stuff that I forget,” Layla said.

Have’Ana is not only a caring sister but also smart and polite. She is also a bright student who is very creative, loves to sing, and enjoys helping others.

“She can’t make peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, so I make it for her. Also, she’s not very good at Math so I help her with that too,” Have’Ana said. “I’m in advanced Math. I love Math. It’s very easy for me.”

Layla, on the other hand, enjoys music and gymnastics. She’s proud of her skills in splits, backflips, and cartwheels and hopes to find a family who shares her excitement.

“I want a family to play with me and I want a phone,” Layla shared with a hopeful smile.

Both Have’Ana and Layla are hoping for a forever family who will love them for who they are and a home where they can stay together and continue to support each other.
