Nationwide — Isaias Cupino, a 65-year-old doctor from Oconto Falls, Wisconsin, has been accused of sexually abusing a toddler, recording videos of the abuse, and uploading child sexual abuse material online. He is now facing several criminal charges.
Police said they began investigating after receiving a cyber tip that child sexual abuse material had been uploaded to Facebook from a local address. A detective reviewed the content and identified Cupino in both images and videos involving a toddler, as reported by WLBT.
Officers feared the child might be living with Cupino and executed a search warrant at his home. Inside, they found a child under 2 years old. Investigators reported that a Pack ‘n Play was set up in the master bathroom, where they also discovered a child’s tablet and a pillow shaped like women’s breasts hidden under blankets.
According to the criminal complaint, more videos were recovered showing Cupino sexually abusing the child. He was charged with child sexual assault, sexual exploitation of a child, and possession of child pornography.
Cupino was previously listed on Prevea Health’s website as a family medicine doctor who provided care for both children and adults. His profile has since been removed, and the page now redirects to the health system’s home page.
A spokesperson for Prevea Health confirmed that Cupino is no longer working there. The company said it is taking the matter seriously and will continue to act as more information becomes available.
During a court appearance, Cupino’s bond was set at $250,000. He was ordered to avoid contact with the victim and all minors, banned from using social media, and restricted from leaving Wisconsin if released. His next hearing is scheduled for September 11.
