Singer Chris Brown To Stay in Jail For One Month — Will He Ever Learn?

Los Angeles, CA — R&B singer Chris Brown just can’t seem to stay out of trouble. The 24-year old was recently sentenced to one month in prison for violating his probation, after he was ejected from two rehab programs in the last five months.

His lawyer tried to argue to the judge that Brown should be allowed to enter another rehab program instead of spending the next month in jail. But the judge did not want to hear it.The judge said that he was deeply concerned about a “provocative” statement that rehab counselors said Brown wrote on a card at one rehab center. That statement read, “I am good at using guns and knives,” and that was the reason why he was kicked out – not to mention two other violations, including refusing to take a drug test.

If his behavior is good, Brown is eligible for release on April 23rd. But there is reportedly a possibility that the judge will let him out earlier so that Brown can appear before a Washington, DC court on a separate charge.

Brown’s troubled life began (or at least became public) five years ago in 2009, when he assaulted then-girlfriend Rihanna in Hollywood, California. After a huge media fiasco and a severe threat to his career (which did rebound), he pleaded guilty to felony assault, and was given a sentence of five years of probation and 1,400 hours of community labor. He has served many of those hours via various community service programs.

But since then, he has had several more run-ins with the law… and the media. For example, he was arrested near the White House for allegedly punching a man. He was released from one rehab center for throwing a rock at his mom’s car after a family therapy session. He allegedly stole a woman’s phone as she was snapping pictures of him. And let’s not forget when he allegedly destroyed his make-up room on the set of Good Morning America because he was mad at some of the questions they asked him during his segment.
