Nationwide — Linda Mathis, the wife of Judge Greg Mathis, has officially moved to dismiss her divorce case after reconciling with her husband. Court records confirm the longtime couple ended their legal separation and remain together after a brief separation.
Linda Mathis and Judge Greg Mathis first separated in July 2024 after decades together. She filed for divorce the following month, citing irreconcilable differences after 39 years of marriage.
The separation did not last long. By November 2024, the couple had already reunited and confirmed they had worked through their issues and decided to stay married.
Later that year, they appeared together on the Tamron Hall Show, where they spoke about the split and how they repaired their relationship. Judge Mathis said the breakup hit him deeply, comparing the emotional impact to losing his mother, saying, “I’d do anything to get my mother back. So I did anything to get my wife back.”
Linda Mathis also described the effort they put into rebuilding their marriage. She said, “We learned each other again. We enjoyed our time doing that each and every day.”
According to TMZ, court records show Linda Mathis filed a request on Monday to dismiss the divorce case without prejudice. The court clerk entered the dismissal the following day, formally closing the case.
With the dismissal now approved, the divorce filing is no longer active. The couple’s long marriage continues after a short separation and reconciliation.
