Nationwide — LeBron James has made history as Barbie’s first-ever official Kenbassador, with the release of the first-ever Ken doll modeled after a professional athlete. This collaboration highlights the importance of role models for young people.
“Now, as an adult, I understand how vital it is for young people to have positive figures to look up to,” he continued. “That’s why partnering with Barbie to release the LeBron James Kenbassadors doll is such an honor. It’s an opportunity to recognize the powerful impact of role models who instill confidence, inspire dreams, and show kids that they, too, can achieve greatness.”
The LeBron James Kenbassador doll features a white and blue letterman jacket with his initials “LJ” on the front and “LeBron” on the back. The jacket also includes the phrase “Just a Kid from Akron.” The left sleeve features a blue and black Ohio patch, and the doll carries the crown logo from LeBron’s foundation.
In an Instagram video, LeBron shared his excitement, saying, “This is so cool,” as he admired its details. He joins other notable athletes like Serena Williams and Mary Fowler, who have also been featured as Mattel dolls.
The doll will be available in select Target stores and online via Target, Amazon, Walmart, and Mattel Creations.
