Documentary Chronicling the Legacy of Dr. Khalid el-Hakim to Premiere on Fox Soul During Black History Month

NationwideLiving Proof: Dr. Khalid el-Hakim’s Black History 101 Mobile Museum, a groundbreaking documentary chronicling the 30-year journey of Dr. Khalid el-Hakim, will premiere on Fox Soul this Black History Month. Directed by Tony Wesley of Reel Sung Films, the film tells the remarkable story of how Dr. el-Hakim built one of the most influential grassroots institutions in America — the Black History 101 Mobile Museum — while overcoming significant personal and professional challenges.

With an extensive collection of over 15,000 artifacts, the Black History 101 Mobile Museum has traveled to 43 states and over 1,000 venues, bringing African American history to schools, colleges, museums, and community spaces nationwide. The documentary highlights the museum’s impact on education and activism while offering an intimate look at Dr. el-Hakim’s resilience, faith, and commitment to preserving history.

Fox Soul Premiere and Nationwide Tour

Living Proof: Dr. Khalid el-Hakim’s Black History 101 Mobile Museum will air Sundays at 7 pm (PST) and 10 pm (EST) on Fox Soul, offering viewers an in-depth look at the Black History 101 Mobile Museum’s mission to challenge dominant narratives, ignite dialogue, and empower communities through historical education.

Alongside the film’s release, Dr. Khalid el-Hakim is currently on a national tour with his new book, A Legacy in Motion: Celebrating 30 Years of the Black History 101 Mobile Museum.
