Lizzo Looks Completely Different After Shedding Pounds, Shows Off on Instagram

Nationwide — 36-year-old singer Lizzo has taken to Instagram to showcase her ongoing weight loss and share a fun moment with her mom, Shari Johnson-Jefferson. In a lighthearted video, the mother-daughter duo sported matching braided hairstyles while enjoying a car ride together. Lizzo captioned the post humorously, writing, “My mom stole my hairstyle & ate me up.”The video featured Lizzo modeling two extra-long pigtails while wearing a white off-the-shoulder dress, silver sparkly eyeshadow, and pink blush. In the clip, she mimicked audio from The Kardashians where Kim Kardashian teased her sister Kourtney. Lizzo later shifted the camera to her mom, who flaunted the same braided hairstyle while dressed in a black and white animal print jacket and red lipstick, adding to the playful vibe.

According to People, her fans also caught glimpses of Lizzo’s new braided hairstyle in an earlier post, where she posed for photos in a car wearing a sheer white crop top and a matching embroidered jean skirt. “Last night I wore milkmaid braids,” she captioned the post, which showcased her playful energy through smiles, winks, and other fun expressions. In the comments, fans showered her with praise, with one user saying, “Baby, that face card ain’t ever declining. EVER!!!!” and another adding, “The cheekbones are cheekboning.”

Several fans noted Lizzo’s slimmer appearance, a topic she has openly discussed on her social media. She’s documented her natural weight-loss journey, including recipes, workouts, and healthy habits. In September, Lizzo shut down rumors of using weight-loss medications like Ozempic, stating her results were from five months of weight training and a calorie deficit. She later poked fun at the rumors during Halloween by dressing as “LizzOzempic,” complete with a faux ad for her “self-love” drug.

Known for championing body positivity, Lizzo has also been candid about the evolving concept of self-image. Speaking to The New York Times earlier this year, she explained that she views the movement as shifting toward body neutrality. “I’m not going to lie and say I love my body every day,” she admitted. “The way you feel about your body changes every single day. Some days I adore my body, and others, I don’t feel completely positive.”

Lizzo continues to inspire fans with her authenticity, humor, and unapologetic confidence, reminding them that self-love and acceptance are an ever-changing journey.
