Jacksonville, FL — Louisa Gunter, an African American grandmother from Florida, just recently turned 109-years old. Having been born in 1911, Gunter has lived through both the Spanish flu epidemic in 1918 and the current coronavirus pandemic.
Gunter has 9 children, 26 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren. One of her sons, Almon, sadly died last year at the age of 76.
