Two Black Woman Founders Team Up to Launch Summer Night Market Series Spotlighting Black-Owned Brands, Food and Culture

Nationwide — Two Black women founders are joining forces once again to bring culture, commerce, and community back to the heart of Brooklyn. Mandy Bowman, Founder of Official Black Wall Street, and Shelley Worrell, Founder of I AM CARIBBEING, have officially announced the return of the WE Lime: Little Caribbean Night Markets & Saturday Markets at WE Plaza for a second season.

Running bi-monthly from April through September, the markets will once again transform Brooklyn’s Little Caribbean neighborhood into a vibrant hub of Black-owned businesses, Caribbean culture, and community-driven commerce.

“This isn’t just a market — it’s a movement. The Little Caribbean Night Market is about amplifying Caribbean creativity and driving economic development through culturally rooted experiences. We are building an ecosystem where our stories, our flavors, and our people shine,” says Shelley.

Originally launched in collaboration last year, the markets quickly became a destination for locals and visitors alike, drawing crowds eager to shop from curated vendors, experience live programming, and connect with the culture of Little Caribbean.

This year, the experience returns bigger and more intentional, with:

• A curated mix of artisan, food, and beverage vendors
• Themed market nights designed to elevate cultural storytelling
• Expanded marketing and promotion across partner platforms
• A focus on accessible price points to drive higher sales volume for vendors

For Official Black Wall Street, the expansion into in-person experiences reflects a broader vision of bridging digital and physical commerce for Black-owned brands.

“Online discovery is powerful, but there’s something unmatched about in-person connection. These markets give vendors the opportunity to not only sell, but to build real relationships with their customers. We’re not just bringing people together, we’re creating economic opportunity,” says Mandy.

Vendors across categories are invited to apply for the 2026 season, with opportunities to participate in multiple market dates throughout the summer. Organizers are encouraging vendors to think beyond a single event and leverage the markets as a platform for consistent revenue and brand growth.

As Brooklyn continues to serve as a cultural epicenter, the Little Caribbean Night Markets aim to solidify their place as a must-attend experience and a meaningful economic driver for the community.

Vendor applications are now open.
