
Nationwide — Melissa Rose, a third-grade teacher from Munford, Tennessee, was arrested on April 29 after school staff suspected she was intoxicated while on duty at a local elementary school. Authorities responded quickly after receiving the report.
WREG reports that Rose was arrested without incident and taken to the Tipton County Jail. As of now, officials have not released additional details about the case.
The Munford Police Department confirmed the arrest but declined to provide further comment pending the investigation.
In a short statement, Munford Elementary said, “The safety and well-being of our children is our highest priority. We appreciate the cooperation of Munford Elementary School staff and administration during this incident.”
