3rd Grade Teacher Arrested For Allegedly Coming to School Drunk in Tennessee

Nationwide — Melissa Rose, a third-grade teacher from Munford, Tennessee, was arrested on April 29 after school staff suspected she was intoxicated while on duty at a local elementary school. Authorities responded quickly after receiving the report.

According to police, school employees noticed troubling behavior from Rose during the afternoon and alerted the on-site officer. After assessing the situation, the officer found enough evidence to take her into custody.

WREG reports that Rose was arrested without incident and taken to the Tipton County Jail. As of now, officials have not released additional details about the case.

The Munford Police Department confirmed the arrest but declined to provide further comment pending the investigation.
