“I Shot My Wife” — Actor Michael Jace from “The Shield” and “Michael Jordan” TV Movie Calls 911 and Admits to Murdering His Wife

Los Angeles, CA — 51-year old actor Michael Jace, best known for playing Officer Julien Lowe on The Shield, has been charged with murdering his wife. Police say Jace called 911 and told the operator that he shot his wife. When police arrived, they found her shot to death in their home, and Jace was immediately taken into custody and charged with homicide.

This was Jace’s second marriage, and the couple had been married for almost ten years. They had two children who were present in the house at the time of the murder. Both are now in protective custody, and Jace is being held on $1 million bail.

According to the LA Times, the investigation is still ongoing and the motive for the killing is not yet clear.

Jace, who appeared in nearly 100 episodes of The Shield between 2002 and 2008, also had small roles in other TV shows such as Burn Notice, NYPD Blue, Southland, Private Practice, The Mentalist, and more.

He is also known for his role as basketball star Michael Jordan in the 1999 TV movie, Michael Jordan: An American Hero. He also appeared in Forrest Gump.
