Nationwide — Michael Jackson’s daughter, Paris Jackson, drew attention after posting a cryptic Mother’s Day message and sharing a rare photo with her mother Debbie Rowe. The post came after she skipped the Michael biopic premiere and won a legal ruling in her ongoing fight over her father’s estate.
Paris marked Mother’s Day on May 10 with a now-deleted Instagram Story. She posted a smiling photo with Debbie Rowe, taken at what appeared to be a stable. In the caption, she wrote, “Happy Mother’s Day to the lady they used for my template during the cloning process.” The image quickly circulated online as fans pointed out their similar facial features.
According to Atlanta Black Star, her post came at the same time as a legal win in her estate battle. A judge ordered $625,000 in attorney bonus payments returned to Michael Jackson’s estate. The ruling added pressure on the executors Paris has accused of mismanagement and also allowed her to seek reimbursement for legal fees, along with tighter oversight of future payments.
Around the same period, Paris also faced attention for skipping the premiere of the Michael biopic. She later explained on Instagram that she raised concerns about the script but chose to step away when her feedback was not addressed.
She wrote, “I read one of the first drafts of the script and gave my notes about what was dishonest / didn’t sit right with me, and when they didn’t address it, I moved on with my life. Not my monkeys, not my circus. God bless and God speed.”
She also expanded on her concerns about biopics in general, saying, “The thing about these biopics is — it’s Hollywood. So it’s fantasy land. It’s not real but it’s sold to you as real and a lot of sugar coated the narrative is being controlled and there’s a lot of inaccuracy and there’s a lot of just full-blown lies.”
Paris is the daughter of Michael Jackson and Debbie Rowe, who married in 1996 and welcomed her in 1998. After their divorce, Michael gained full custody of Paris and her brother, Prince, while Debbie stepped away from parental rights before later reconnecting with them.
Following Michael Jackson’s death in 2009, Paris and her siblings lived with their grandmother, Katherine Jackson, before rebuilding contact with Rowe years later. Today, Paris, Prince, and their younger brother Bigi remain beneficiaries of the estate, alongside Katherine Jackson, while legal disputes over estate management continue.
