He shared that he had nearly died in June, undergoing eight blood transfusions, losing half his blood, and shedding 25 pounds while hospitalized. Despite these challenges, Tyson expressed gratitude for being able to fight. “To have my children see me stand toe-to-toe and finish eight rounds with a talented fighter half my age in front of a packed Dallas Cowboys stadium is an experience no man has the right to ask for. Thank you,” he said.
Holyfield’s recent track record in the ring has also been challenging. He last fought in 2021 against former UFC champion Vitor Belfort, a bout that ended in less than a minute with a loss.
