Founder of Black-Owned Commercial Kitchen That Sold Out on QVC Celebrates 7 Years in Business

Nationwide — Natasha Brown-Wainwright, the Founder and CEO of Natasha’s Just Brittle established B’More Made with Pride Commercial Kitchen & Café in 2017 to provide small businesses, like hers, the opportunity to venture into the culinary industry. The establishment is licensed both with the State as a small batch processing plant and with Baltimore City as a commercial kitchen. The journey wasn’t easy initially, especially after an appearance on QVC, which led to a significant surge in orders for Natasha’s Just Brittle. Despite selling out on QVC, there were challenges in scaling the business due to space and staff constraints. With no external support, the CEO leased a facility and established her own processing plant to meet the demand, resulting in the birth of Natasha’s Just Brittle processing plant.

In 2018, recognizing the need for a shared kitchen space for other food businesses, the CEO decided to obtain licensing as a shared kitchen, leading to the creation of B’More Made with Pride Commercial Kitchen. It stands out as one of the only kitchens with an attached café, open Tuesday to Saturday from 9 A.M. to 4 P.M., featuring a breakfast menu, scratch desserts, and Natasha’s Just Brittle treats.

Natasha’s Just Brittle/B’More Made with Pride takes pride in nurturing new businesses. Some of the incubator’s success stories include Blondie’s Doughnuts in Fallstaff Shopping Center, The Brunch Gods (now a brick-and-mortar spot in Windsor Mill), and Arepi (opening a brick-and-mortar in Fells Point this Spring).

Recently, the café received rave reviews from Big Schlim, a premium food reviewer. Whether you’re a culinary business in need of a home or a food enthusiast looking for great food, Come Eat, Drink, and B’More Happy at The Cafe @ B’More Made with Pride.
