16-Year-Old Black Teen Girl Missing For Two Weeks, Her Family Says She Needs Her Meds

Nyla Colon

Nationwide — Nyla Colon, a 16-year-old African American girl from South Fulton, Georgia, has been missing for two weeks. Her family is urgently seeking help, saying that she has a brain tumor, a history of seizures, and requires daily medication to survive.

According to 11Alive, Nyla was last seen at about 12:30 a.m. on July 27 near Roosevelt Highway and Mallory Road. She was wearing a blue Lilo & Stitch hoodie and black shoes. She is described as 5-foot-2 and weighing approximately 120 pounds.

Her family insists she is not a runaway. They believe her disappearance is a medical emergency and fear her condition could worsen with each passing hour without proper care.

Police have issued a 50-state alert through the Missing, Lost, and Trafficked network, asking people nationwide to watch for her.

Anyone with information about Nyla’s location is urged to contact local authorities immediately.
