Police Brutality Film ‘Illville’ Joins Tubi Amid Producer Brittany Chrishawn’s Real-Life Encounter With Police

Illville, a film that unexpectedly predicted its creators’ own struggles with police violence, is now streaming on Tubi

Illville

Nationwide — Production company, Moore Flicks, is thrilled to announce that the award-winning comedy drama Illville, written and directed by Ausar Moore, has joined the popular streaming service, Tubi. This impactful film, praised for its unfiltered depiction of systemic issues, now carries heightened significance in light of recent events involving its co-writer and producer, Brittany Chrishawn.

Illville tells a powerful story of injustice and retribution, themes that tragically mirrored Chrishawn’s own life in 2020 when she became a victim of police brutality. While Illville was made before this incident, the horrific experience Chrishawn endured has brought a new layer of significance to the film’s narrative.

Illville was completed in 2019; and the pandemic along with Brittany Chrishawn’s police brutality case put its release on hold.

“I remember it like it was yesterday. The police attacked my wife, right in front of me. I found her broken teeth on our floor,” says director Ausar Moore. “When I wrote Illville, I wanted to expose how police in America routinely terrorize innocent civilians. The fact that Brittany and I experienced this after making a film about it helped me realize the true magnitude of this epidemic.”

Illville is now available for streaming on Tubi and features actress and model Dominika van Santen, Patricia Mizen, Janine Gateland, actor John Christian Love formerly known as Brandon K. Hampton, and actor Ben Cain.
