Nationwide — Robin Ayers, a beloved radio host and entertainment reporter at KBLA 1580 Talk Radio in Los Angeles, has died at age 44, just one year after being diagnosed with leiomyosarcoma, a rare form of cancer. The cause of her death has not been disclosed.
In the days before her passing, Ayers appeared healthy and happy from the posts she shared moments with her family. She recently celebrated Thanksgiving and her twin daughters’ 18th birthday and shared a happy video of the family in New York City.
In 2022, Ayers revealed she was battling leiomyosarcoma, a rare and aggressive cancer affecting soft tissues. Despite her diagnosis and two car accidents in 2023, Ayers remained resilient, often sharing updates about her health and personal growth.
Ayers was known for hosting The RA Report and appearing on FOX and BET. Before becoming a popular radio personality, she had a successful career as a Hollywood stylist. Her sudden death has left many of her fans and loved ones devastated. She leaves behind her husband Rob and daughters Brooklyn and Madison. KBLA Talk 1580 has planned a memorial to honor her memory.
“Robin was a bright light,” Smiley said about her. “You could see her radiant smile through the radio. We all respected her immense talent, loved her jovial spirit, celebrated her love of family, and honored her faith in God.
