Nationwide — Ray J has recently claimed that numerous celebrities are so alarmed by their connections to Sean “Diddy” Combs that they’re allegedly paying accusers to keep silent as part of a “catch and kill” tactic.
“I’m hearing about artists offering money to victims to keep their names out of it,” said Ray J, 43, suggesting that many are fearful of public exposure. Ray J explained the concept further, adding, “People do catch-and-kills all the time… someone has a truth, and someone pays to keep it hidden, hoping that money provides enough happiness while the lie persists.”
When asked if women were approaching celebrities with ultimatums, Ray J implied it might actually be these celebrities initiating payments to silence potential accusers. “It’s more like, ‘I’ll pay you, please don’t talk,’” he said, describing what he believes is happening among high-profile names.
Ray J, known for his connection to Combs and his own past controversies, hinted that some celebrities are contacting him out of fear that he could inadvertently expose their identities. “That’s exactly it,” he remarked, when asked if they viewed him as a possible “vessel” for leaks. He continued, “I don’t even know why I just said that, but now they’re gonna be mad.”
The singer refused to name names or describe specific alleged actions, stating, “I’ve already said too much.” He made these claims in the documentary TMZ Presents The Downfall of Diddy: Inside the Freak-Offs.
These revelations come in the wake of Combs facing federal sex trafficking charges filed in September. The indictment alleges that Combs manipulated victims with drugs, coercing them into participating in disturbing “Freak-Offs” — violent encounters allegedly recorded without consent.
Some individuals have claimed to have seen other celebrities at these notorious events. Following Combs’ arrest, numerous civil lawsuits have also surfaced against the Bad Boy Records founder, accusing him of abusive behavior stretching back decades.
While Combs remains in federal custody in Brooklyn awaiting trial set for next May, his legal team has dismissed the allegations as “clear attempts to gain publicity.” They have not yet responded to The Post regarding Ray J’s comments.
