Multi-Faceted Real Estate Developer, Jessica Myers, to Reinvest in Brunswick, GA Community With “Lovers Oak Cottages”

Atlanta/ Brunswick, GA — CEO of ItsJessicaMyers and Epiq Collective Co-Founder, Jessica Myers, formally announces the purchase of six single-family homes as part of the “Lovers Oak Cottages” project in Brunswick, Georgia. The estimated $500,000 project, will provide much-needed affordable and quality housing for potential residents.Located in South East Georgia, the city of Brunswick took center stage on February 23, 2020, with the untimely death of Ahmaud Arberry. As Myers has a strong familial connection to the community, she would like to reinvest and provide opportunities for others who are largely underrepresented in the real estate industry, such as women and people of color.

“My ultimate vision is to help people, including the people of Brunswick gain more economic independence and to do so through real estate ownership,” she says. “I want to empower members of this community, and others like it, to take back their communities and reclaim what is rightfully theirs, like a rebirth, through collaborative economics.”

“We applaud Jessica Myers for this most noteworthy endeavor and our goal is to continue to attract more business owners like her to our area,” says Brunswick Economic and Community Development Director Travis Stegall. “Brunswick is an amazing place of opportunity with a remarkable quality of life; we’re surrounded by islands, beaches, and wildlife. The city is growing at a tremendous rate with a wealth of opportunity for start-up businesses and commercial and residential housing ventures.”

The project is yet another notable accomplishment for Myers, who nabbed national headlines in January 2021 for her investment into the $8.3 million acquisition of a Home2 Suites by Hilton hotel property deal with her commercial real estate business partner and former Georgia State University classmate, which is believed to have earned them, both age 33, the distinction of becoming the youngest African American women to ever co-own a major hotel chain property. In addition to this notable achievement, Jessica provides real estate insights and empowerment through her popular education series, “From Wholesaler To Hotel Owner: Getting Your Start In Real-Estate Investing.”
