Nationwide — Regina Romain, the founder of the first African-American and woman-owned investigative organization, FPI Justice for Victims Families, a groundbreaking 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to addressing the trauma of unsolved homicides, is launching an innovative and heartfelt initiative to give voice to those often overlooked by the criminal justice system. Regina, inspired by solving her own family’s cold case, is now offering healing through art to families of unsolved homicides with an “ART Sale For a Cause” event featuring works by emerging artists on November 22, 2024.Through the power of storytelling and art, Regina and her organization seek to not only confront the enduring pain left in the wake of unsolved homicides but also to provide a path toward healing for the families and communities affected.
For families of homicide victims, the absence of justice is compounded by an overwhelming silence. With each unsolved case, a story remains untold, leaving families struggling with unanswered questions and unresolved grief. Often underrepresented in the criminal justice process, these families are in need of support, recognition, and healing.
Recognizing this deep void, the nonprofit’s mission is clear: to facilitate healing through artistic expression by highlighting the powerful stories of those who have triumphed over similar pain. ART Sale for a Cause — Healing Through Art
On November 22, 2024, the organization will host its annual ART Sale for a Cause, an inspiring event that brings together grieving families, emerging artists, and the community for an evening of shared healing. The event will showcase powerful artwork created by artists who have experienced their own journeys of healing after tragedy. Attendees will have the opportunity to purchase these pieces, with 40% of the proceeds going directly to the artists.
This event invites the public, as well as families of homicide victims, to come together and witness the transformative power of art. The evening will be a celebration of resilience and an opportunity for reflection on the human stories behind unsolved homicides.

FPI Justice for Victims Families is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and a team of real-life investigators dedicated to addressing the trauma of unsolved homicides. Through community engagement, artistic expression, and advocacy, the organization seeks to offer a sense of closure to families, while shining a light on the human stories behind every case. Within two years of existence, FPI Justice has been working to solve 140 homicides, with the completion of an almost 200-year-old cold case.
