Sherri Shepherd’s Daytime Talk Show to End After Just Four Seasons

Sherri daytime talk show canceled

Nationwide — Sherri Shepherd’s daytime talk show Sherri is set to end after four seasons, with its run wrapping up in 2026. Producers say the decision reflects changes in daytime television, not problems with the show’s performance.

The series will continue airing through the 2025 to 2026 television season, with its final episodes scheduled to air in the fall. Production for Season 4 will move forward as planned before the show officially signs off, according to Variety.

Debmar-Mercury, the Lionsgate-backed company that produces and distributes Sherri, confirmed the cancellation on Monday. The company noted that the show had already secured carriage across major station groups, including Fox TV Stations, Nexstar, Hearst, Sinclair, Gray, Tegna, and Sunbeam.

In a statement, producers said the decision was driven by shifts in the daytime TV landscape. They emphasized that the show had found strong creative momentum this season and said the cancellation does not reflect on Shepherd or the production team. Debmar-Mercury added that it plans to explore possible opportunities for the show on other platforms.

Sherri tapes at Chelsea Studios in New York and has remained fully produced and distributed by Debmar-Mercury since its launch. When the show was renewed for a fourth season, Fox executives described it as a key part of their daytime programming lineup.

Shepherd debuted the talk show in fall 2022 after previously serving as a co-host on The View. Sherri took over time slots once held by The Wendy Williams Show, which Debmar-Mercury produced for 13 seasons.

The show’s cancellation comes as daytime television continues to shift. The Kelly Clarkson Show has also announced plans to end in 2026, closing out its seven-season run.
