According to Rolling Stone, the posts came after X user Hugo Almonte accused an unnamed “gay R&B singer” of offering him drugs and attempting to frame him for breaking into his home. Almonte, who has fewer than 750 monthly listeners on his own music platforms, shared a photo with Khalid alongside a string of accusations, claiming the singer tried to use his influence to silence him after their relationship ended.
Khalid has not directly addressed Almonte’s allegations but responded to one fan who suggested his sexuality was obvious. “I wasn’t hiding anything!” Khalid wrote. “It’s just not any of your business.” His measured response resonated with fans who applauded his handling of the situation.
