Nationwide — Snoop Dogg is looking for an ice cream lover to become the official taste tester for his Dr. Bombay brand. The fully remote job pays $10,000 a month and is open to applicants from anywhere in the world. The rapper announced the opportunity on social media, saying the company needs someone who can taste its products while also keeping up with food and flavor trends around the world.
“I’m hiring an international ice cream taster here at Dr. Bombay,” he said, according to Billboard. “10 grand a month, you can apply anywhere in the world.” He added that while he enjoys expanding the business globally, he does not enjoy dealing with the paperwork that comes with it. He has partnered with Deel, a global human resources company that will handle the international hiring process and paperwork. Deel will take care of those details.
The selected candidate will have responsibilities beyond sampling ice cream. The job involves tracking food, culture, and social trends in different markets and reporting on what people are eating, drinking, sharing, and discussing. The tester will also create social media content during tastings and suggest ideas for new flavors and marketing campaigns.
Dr. Bombay, known for its nostalgic ice cream flavors, currently offers varieties such as Long Beach Fruit Cart, Sticky Caramel Apple Pie, and Peanut Butter Jelly Time. The company wants its new tester to help shape future flavor ideas while also contributing to an active campaign. The role includes regular check-ins with Dr. Maya and the wider team to discuss findings and new ideas.
The company is seeking someone curious, outgoing and interested in food, culture, and trends. Applicants must also know how to evaluate dairy-based ice cream based on taste, aroma and texture and be comfortable writing up simple findings. English is required, while additional languages are a plus. Experience with entrepreneurship, brand-building or product creation is helpful but not required. The three-month position is a fixed-term independent contractor role, and Dr. Bombay says it welcomes non-traditional applicants and creators.
