TEDxInglewood 2025 Celebrates Another Sold-Out Event for the Third Consecutive Year

Nationwide — On Saturday, August 9, 2025, TEDxInglewood once again proved the power of ideas worth spreading, hosting its third consecutive sold-out event at The Miracle Theater in the heart of Downtown Inglewood. The conference brought together a dynamic lineup of speakers, a charismatic host, and a powerful musical performance for a day that inspired, challenged, and connected the community.

This year’s theme, “Energy,” set the tone for a high-impact program that left attendees energized and ready to act. The stage welcomed eight remarkable speakers: Yaritza Gonzalez, Yazmine Verdieu, Melody Martinez, Danielle Leslie, Jamal Hill, Newton Cheng, Dr. Cathryn Dhanatya, and Dr. Joi Madison, each delivering thought-provoking talks that sparked conversations and reflection. Guiding the audience through the experience was host DaLeyna Adkinson, whose warmth and presence anchored the day.

An additional highlight of the event was the return of Morgan Taylor Jones, the acclaimed R&B soulstress and songwriter, as the featured guest performer. Her powerful voice and soulful delivery brought the theme to life in a way only live music can.

Rashunda Rene, Lead Organizer and Licensee of TEDxInglewood, reflected on the event’s impact:
“Every year, I’m reminded why we do this work. It’s about more than a stage; it’s about creating a space where our community’s brilliance can shine on a global platform. To see Inglewood show up, year after year, with such energy and enthusiasm is both humbling and motivating. This is what community looks like.”

TEDxInglewood extends heartfelt gratitude to its 2025 sponsors, whose support made the event possible: Booce Teaches, HEVN & RTH PURPOSE KCHN, Royal Treatment Wellness, Scentsational Soaps, ALL In Coworking, and fiscal sponsor Our Culture Hub Foundation.

The sold-out 2025 conference continues TEDxInglewood’s mission to curate experiences that spark connection, creativity, and action. As the team looks ahead to its next series of events, the community can expect more opportunities to engage, learn, and be inspired.

About TEDx, x = independently organized event
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TED Talks videos and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized. (Subject to certain rules and regulations.)

About TED
TED is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization dedicated to discovering, debating, and spreading ideas that spark conversation, deepen understanding, and drive meaningful change. Our organization is devoted to curiosity, reason, wonder, and the pursuit of knowledge — without an agenda. It welcomes people from every discipline and culture who seek a deeper understanding of the world and connection with others, and we invite everyone to engage with ideas and activate them in your community.

TED began in 1984 as a conference where Technology, Entertainment, and Design converged, but today it spans a multitude of worldwide communities and initiatives exploring everything from science and business to education, arts, and global issues. In addition to the TED Talks curated from our annual conferences and published on TED.com, we produce original podcasts, short video series, and  animated educational lessons

(TED-Ed) and TV programs that are translated into more than 100 languages and distributed via partnerships around the world. Each year, thousands of independently run TEDx events bring people together to share ideas and bridge divides in communities on every continent. Through the Audacious Project, TED has helped catalyze more than $3 billion in funding for projects that seek to make the world more beautiful, sustainable, and just. In 2020, TED launched Countdown, an initiative to accelerate solutions to the climate crisis and mobilize a movement for a net-zero future, and in 2023, TED launched TED Democracy to spark a new kind of conversation focused on realistic pathways towards a more vibrant and equitable future.
