This Teenage Boy Was Shot and Killed By His Girlfriend’s Father When He CAUGHT Them in Her Bedroom — But Did He Have To Kill Him?

Houston, TX — 17-year old Johran McCormick was recently shot and killed inside his 16-year old girlfriend’s home after investigators say the girl’s father found him in her bedroom. It happened around 2:30am when police were called to a home in the city of Spring, Texas.

According to detectives, the man’s daughter allowed McCormick to come in the house and enter her bedroom, but the family had no idea he was there. Her younger brother reportedly went to say good night to her, and saw two feet sticking out under the bed. He then went and told his father. The father entered the room angrily asking questions, but his daughter denied even knowing who the boy was. The concerned father then called 911, but then an argument started between him and the teenage boy. That’s when, according to the father, McCormick dropped his hands as if he were reaching to grab something, and so the father opened fire killing the teen.

Of course the daughter was in complete shock, and is still feeling the guilt about what happened. Even the father himself felt the shock, as he was transported to the hospital after complaining that he was not feeling well.

Neighbors of the family did not agree with what happened. “As a mom, I just can’t imagine,” said one neighbor. “I know the dad was trying to protect the family, but he should have let the authorities handle it.”

Even the boy’s family tearfully cried to television camera’s that he didn’t have to kill him. “I would like my baby back, but I know that’s not possible,” said Zakia McCormick, the boy’s mother. “A call you know, I’m sorry. He didn’t deserve to die like that.”

As of Thursday, charges had not yet been filed against the father. Investigators say the findings of the case will be presented to the Harris County Grand Jury, and they will be the ones to determine if charges will be filed.
