Nationwide — Wendy Williams, the iconic talk show host, is now permanently incapacitated due to early-onset dementia, according to new court filings. The 60-year-old star has reportedly been struggling with cognitive impairment for some time and unable to manage her own affairs. In 2022, Wells Fargo stepped in and initiated a guardianship case. The bank eventually pushed for an independent guardian to take over her financial matters.
Sabrina Morrissey, who now serves as Williams’ guardian, revealed the full extent of her health condition, stating that Williams has become “cognitively impaired and permanently incapacitated,” according to TMZ.
This information comes as part of an ongoing legal case, where Morrissey is also trying to keep certain personal details, like Williams’ health, finances, and family matters, private. Her legal team has requested that the court redact these sensitive details to protect her privacy.
This update comes as Morrissey continues to fight with Lifetime over the release of the controversial documentary Where Is Wendy Williams?, which aired earlier this year despite Morrissey’s efforts to block it.
