Nationwide — Conservative commentator Laura Loomer is facing heavy backlash once again after directing a racist attack toward Texas Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett. Loomer, who has long been criticized for inflammatory comments about Black Americans, referred to Crockett as a “ghetto Black b***h” in a post on X, sparking outrage across social media. Many said her words crossed a dangerous line of racism and disrespect against a sitting member of Congress.
According to The Root, the exchange stemmed from a recent House vote to honor far-right activist Charlie Kirk, who was assassinated earlier this year. Crockett, reflecting on the vote, pointed out that most opposition came from people of color, while just two white lawmakers rejected the resolution. In response, Loomer lashed out with her slur, declaring it “hurts my heart that we have ghetto Black b***hes who hate America serving in Congress.”
Almost immediately, Loomer’s comments ignited fierce criticism. One user mocked her appearance, saying she was jealous because Crockett is “more educated, more accomplished, and looks better than you.” Another pointed out the cowardice in her remarks, adding, “I bet you won’t say that sh*t to her face though!” Others expressed disbelief that such vile words could be directed at an elected official, with one user calling the insult “diabolical.”
Some critics noted the hypocrisy in Loomer’s language, especially her use of the word “ghetto.” Scholars at Harvard University have documented that the term originated from Jewish segregation in Europe, later weaponized by Nazis, before it became a derogatory label aimed at poor Black communities in America. One commenter wrote, “It’s wild seeing a Jew call Black Americans ghetto when you know the origin of the word.”
The attack also prompted questions about accountability on social media platforms. “How does her account stay but everyone else’s pages get taken for far less?” one user asked. Another criticized Loomer for exploiting Kirk’s death to “attack Black women” and warned that such rhetoric only normalizes open racism in political spaces. Several users mocked her further, sarcastically awarding her a “stupid ass b***h award” for her behavior.
Through all the outrage, Crockett has not yet issued a response to Loomer’s attack. Still, many have rallied in her defense, pointing out that the Congresswoman’s accomplishments, education, and influence stand in stark contrast to the insults hurled at her. For many observers, the episode highlighted both the persistence of racism in political discourse and the importance of pushing back when public figures attempt to normalize it.
