Miami-Dade County, FL — Yunior Beltres, a 54-year old South Florida pastor who is orginally from the Dominican Republic, has been arrested after being accused of raping 2 girls aged 9 and 10 at his home. He is facing two counts of sexual battery on a minor.According to reports, the two victims told authorities on July 1 that Beltres raped them at his home in the 300 block of Northeast 118th Terrace.
The 10-year old victim told investigators that Beltres raped her repeatedly in May inside his bedroom in front of the younger girl and forced her to perform oral sex on him.
Moreover, the 9-year old victim told investigators that Beltres also raped her repeatedly in June inside his bedroom in front of the older girl. She said he also touched her breasts with his mouth and his hands.
Beltres reportedly surrendered himself to authorities last week with his attorney. He did not make any comment in connection to the allegations and invoked his right to remain silent.
Meanwhile, Beltres found support from parishioners of the Columnas de Fuego Evangelical Church where he serves as pastor.
“We want our pastor to know that we support him, that we are praying for him and that the church will not stop because of what is happening,” Rigoberto Pinelas, a church parishioner, said in Spanish.
Beltres is currently held without bond.
