22-Year-Old Fast Food Worker Arrested For Shooting at Drive-Thru Customers (Video)

Nationwide — Chassidy Gardner, a 22-year-old employee at a McDonald’s restaurant in Lakeland, Florida has been arrested following a violent altercation at the drive-thru on Friday at around 1am. The trouble started when customers complained about an incorrect order, leading to a heated exchange with the employee. Surveillance footage shows Gardner arguing with the customers before allegedly hurling a drink at them as they tried to leave.

The conflict escalated when two customers opened the drive-thru window and retaliated by throwing drinks back at Gardner. In a dramatic turn of events, Gardner retrieved a handgun ad , as seen on video, while the customers moved their vehicle to another area of the restaurant.

Another video from outside the McDonald’s captured Gardner stepping outside with the firearm and shooting at the departing vehicle. According to police, the vehicle was struck at least once, though it is not clear if anyone was injured.

Gardner was later taken into custody and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
