Nationwide — David President Jr., a respected leader with over 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry, has been promoted to Vice President of Sales at Shaner Hotel Group. His remarkable journey from humble beginnings as a banquet server to an executive leadership position highlights the power of persistence, dedication, and commitment to personal and professional growth.
David’s story is one of resilience. Growing up in Charleston, South Carolina, where he cultivated his hospitality skills and shaped his understanding of the importance of hard work and humility. “I’ve always believed that success isn’t handed to you; it’s earned through persistence, patience, and a willingness to never stop learning,” said David. “I’m proud of my journey because it reflects the values of hard work, inclusion, and service to others.”

David served on the Board of Governors for the City of Alexandria and the Board of Directors for the NATCAP Chapter of the Society of Government Meeting Planners. David was recognized by the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce 40 under 40 in 2022 and was also named Alexandrias Most Interesting Man. His innovative sales strategies, focus on team development, and ability to build lasting client relationships have consistently driven revenue growth and expanded market share for the organizations he has served.
In his new role as Vice President of Sales, David plans to continue this legacy by focusing on mentorship, creating growth opportunities for his team, and driving sales strategies that prioritize both business success and customer satisfaction.
