Kourtney Mason Becomes Travelers’ First Black Regional Director for Claim Account Executives

Nationwide — Meet Kourtney S. Mason, MBA, Claim Manager at Travelers, a Fortune 500 company that provides insurance coverage to protect the things that are important which include houses, cars, valuables, and businesses. With a focus on commercial and property insurance, the company has been around for over 165 years and employs more than 30,000 people and over 14,000 independent brokers and agents in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., and Ireland.

She has excelled in working in challenging environments and is committed to executing a hands-on management style to ensure optimal operations and outcomes, Kourtney recently accepted a position as the first Black person to become a Regional Director for Claim Account Executives at Travelers. With a belief that true leadership is servitude; she is proud to model the Servant Leadership Style.

She is passionate about fostering a work environment that is diverse, equitable, and inclusive. Her mission is to create workplaces where everyone feels appreciated, valued, and supported for who they are and what they bring to the table.

Kourtney is actively sponsoring/organizing programs and initiatives that align with her passion to develop employees. She has been leading several philanthropic efforts like distributing food and clothes to those impacted by homelessness or in need. She also talks about removing the stigma around discussing and supporting mental health in the workplace.
