Michael Jordan’s Son, Marcus, Arrested For DUI and Cocaine Possession

Marcus Jordan

Nationwide — Marcus Jordan, the son of NBA legend Michael Jordan, was arrested in Orlando, Florida, on February 4 for DUI, possession of cocaine, and resisting arrest. The 34-year-old was taken into custody after police found his car stopped on railroad tracks in Maitland. Officers reported signs of intoxication, including slurred speech and glassy eyes, and discovered a white powdery substance in his pocket that tested positive for cocaine. According to TMZ, Marcus allegedly resisted arrest and refused to take a breathalyzer test but was eventually detained.

Authorities encountered Marcus around 1:14 a.m. after noticing his vehicle’s headlights on the tracks. His car showed signs of damage, suggesting he had been struggling to move it. When questioned, he reportedly told officers he had taken a wrong turn and needed assistance getting his vehicle off the tracks.

Police observed a strong smell of alcohol on Marcus and noted that his speech was slow and unclear. He admitted to having been at a gentleman’s club earlier that night but insisted his blood alcohol level was below the legal limit. Despite his claims, he failed three field sobriety tests before being arrested for driving under the influence.

During the arrest, officers searched Marcus and found a small amount of cocaine in his pocket. When they attempted to place him in the police vehicle, he initially refused but later got in and began singing during the ride. He continued to be uncooperative at the station, declining to provide breath samples.

Marcus is one of Michael Jordan’s five children. The basketball icon shares him, along with his siblings Jeffrey and Jasmine, with ex-wife Juanita Vanoy. Marcus followed in his father’s footsteps and played basketball at the University of Central Florida before shifting his focus to business. In 2016, he launched Trophy Room, a sneaker boutique, which now operates exclusively online.

Aside from his business ventures, Marcus gained public attention for his relationship with Larsa Pippen, the ex-wife of Scottie Pippen. The two confirmed their romance in 2023 and even launched a podcast together. However, their relationship ended in 2024, with Larsa confirming their breakup in a July interview.
