Rapper Offset Seeks Spousal Support from Cardi B in Divorce Battle

The rapper recently filed an updated response to Cardi’s August 2024 divorce petition. In the new filing, he requests spousal support but doesn’t mention a specific amount. He also maintains his request for joint custody and prefers that their children live primarily with Cardi.

According to TMZ, this is the first major update in their case in months. The proceedings have seen little movement since Cardi first filed for divorce.

At the time, Cardi denied rumors that Offset wasn’t supporting their family. Still, the two have exchanged harsh words online, including Cardi saying she wouldn’t care if Offset got hit by a truck.

Offset has also asked the court for both parties to cover their own legal fees. Cardi is reportedly worth between $80 and $100 million, while Offset’s net worth is estimated at around $30 million, which could explain his request for spousal support.

The divorce is still ongoing, and it remains unclear if the court will grant Offset’s request.
