
Nationwide — Sandy’s Land LLC, known for its mission to empower, entertain, and inspire, with brand products, books, art, and cultural events, is proud to announce the 2025 Black Art and Doll Show (Detroit Doll Show), an empowering celebration of history, culture, and diversity through the promotion of Black dolls and art.
The highly anticipated event, recognized as the world’s largest Black Doll Show, will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the Ford Wellness Center, 5555 Conner, Detroit, MI 48213.
The 2025 Black Art & Doll Show (Detroit Doll Show) promises a day filled with engaging activities and opportunities to explore the vibrant world of Black dolls, fashion, culture, art, and connect with collaborative partners. Shop with amazing creators, and discover unique and diverse dolls, handmade items, and artistic creations from talented vendors.
The program will include: a legacy award presentation to honor Daniel Baxter, Chief of Operations at the Detroit Department of Elections and Founder & CEO of the Dr. Ossian H. Sweet Foundation. The Dr. Ossian Sweet House, a historical site where Dr. Ossian Sweet, a Black doctor, and his family faced a mob and charges of murder in 1925 due to housing segregation in Detroit and Emeline King, the first African-American Female Designer at Ford Motor Company, she is the owner of King Enterprise LLC; Fashion Show, Food Trucks, DJ (Live Music), Arts & Crafts, Raffle, Authors, Most Adorable Reborn Doll Contest, Selfie-Stations, African Drumming & Dance and tribute to Black Barbie doll designs by Byron Lars and Bob Mackie. VIP guests will receive a gift bag, face painting, and create a unique piece of art between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
