Nationwide10 Nubian Queens & 5 Kings Media, a Black family-owned media company, has launched an animated children’s book and short film series for 5 to 10-year olds called Izem Meets Officer Joe that teaches young children to deal with police encounters. The series, written by its CEO, Attorney Zulu Ali, is part of the company’s efforts to focus on Black family and social justice content in film, radio, theater, music, and book publishing.

Ali comments, “The focus of the series is to educate our children on subjects that impact and empower our community. Other children’s animated books and short films focusing on topics such as financial literacy, law, Black history, and civics are scheduled to be released in January 2021.”
