Athens, GA — Local police have arrested 49-year-old Clinton Ward on charges of “battery and cruelty to children”, after he allegedly attacked his daughter’s 16-year old boyfriend when he caught him in the shower with her.
Apparently, Ward came home and heard his 16-year old stepdaughter talking in the bathroom. At first, he though she was on the phone, but then he heard a male’s voice. That’s when he decided to to sit back on the couch and wait for them to come out.
That’s when Ward started yelling and cursing at the both of them, and start attacking the boy as he tried to pick up his clothes and belongings. Police say he pushed the boy up against the wall, and punched him repeatedly in the chest and face. He also hit the girl at least once in the face. He then left the room and called police.
When the police arrived, they spoke briefly with Ward outside the apartment, then entered to talk to the teens. Then, they decided to make the arrest for hitting the boy as well as for allowing his stepdaughter to witness him punching him.
To make matters worse, the boy’s mother wants to press charges against Ward for his attack on her son.
What do you think? Were his actions justified? How would you have reacted?
